The international program of Fine Arts Foundation
In the midst of conflict,
BEAUTY and CREATIVITY
cannot be silenced
OUR
MISSION:
To support artists in areas of conflict or isolation by offering performances, education, mentorship, donations of musical
instruments and art supplies and scholarships.
WHAT WE DO
We offer musical performances and artist workshops in partnership with other NGOs in refugee camps, hospitals, orphanages,
schools and other locations within areas of conflict or isolation.
We partner with other NGOs to offer teacher training in conflict regions so that the teachers can go on to inspire their
students and replace desperation with hope. Our work in Lebanon and Iraq would not have been possible without the support
of American Voices' YES Academies.
We engage with community organizations and corporations to sponsor projects and provide scholarships for artists in the
midst of conflict or isolation.
REMEMBER THE RIVER is the international branch of FINE ARTS FOUNDATION, a 501c3 organization founded in Houston, Texas in
1986.
The REMEMBER THE RIVER program was created by Susan McDonald in 2016.
